AN AMAZING ACTION PHOTO
I cought this amazing action photo at a recent race meeting.
If I told you that I saw this bike flying upside down you just wouldn't believe me.
I was actually panning the bike before a corner.
The rider broke his collar bone and was otherwise ok.
The photo is not as sharp as I would like.
More than likely it will not win any awards.
Just look at that action!
I like it and that is what counts.

A NEW SLANT ON SOME OLD PHOTOS
I recently, literally, put a new slant on some old photos.
They won't win any prizes but when we look at the from an unusaul point of view and they become more interesting.
Look at how little rubber is in contact with the road when the are cornering at speed.
They must be mad!
Some look quite comical and look as if the rider is on some sort of funfair ride.
How can we change other photos to give us a different perspective?
Food for thought ....
I call this one "Down the Mineshaft"
"Things are looking up"
"Down hill rider"
Let me know what you think.
Send some of your photos to me to be judged

AN AMAZING PHOTO
I have heard of motor cycle racers touching the track with theis arms, but I have never witnessed it.
Anthony Shelley With Sparks Flying by Cyril Furman
I spoke to Anthony Shelley after the race.
There is titanium in the pad of his sleeve.
This causes the sparks.
Riders may NOT have titanium in their knee pads as this would endanger trailing bikes.

FULL MOON
I took this photo just 2 days before full moon in July
Full Moon by Cyril Furman
I was returning from motocross at about 4.30 PM.
I saw the moon and the pilons.
It took some time before I realised that there was a photo.
I turned around and drove back.
I hauled out my camera and walked a considerable distance in the veld.
This was one of the first five shots that I took.
I moved forewards, backwards, left and right to position the moon in relation to the pilon.
I used almost my full 600mm zoom as the pilon was quite far away.
I used 1/320 of a second @ f8 exposure and ISO 100.
I got full of blackjacks but I got the photo.
Always try and fill the frame.
