Some Great Camera Club Photos at the 12th Passion for Speed

I attended to the 12th passion for speed earlier in February 2013.
Some of the old cars dropped oil on the track.
Dry cement was used to blot up the oil.
The two following photos show some effects.

This was the first car through.

This was one of the later cars through and can also be seen on the Home Page of www.photojudges.com

I saw another Alfa Romeo. This time a 1933 Alpha Romeo Monza

COPYRIGHT AND WATERMARK YOUR PHOTOS

More and more good photos are being copied and sold by theives.
Yesterday I came accross a person who wanted to know how to sue someone in China who was selling his photos in an image bank in China.
There are a number of things that we can do to protect our work.

In the dust by Cyril Furman

  • Re-size to a maximum of 510 pixels wide
  • Add a watemark in a part of the photo where it is difficult to remove or make it very large. The photo "In the dust" has a watermark just under the orange part of the saddle.

Koi fish by Cyril Furman

  • Add your copyright in terms of thr Berne Convention. it must read © the year 2013 and your name Cyril Furman.
  • Add the copyright in a place where it is difficult to crop it off as in the top photo.
  • Reduce the size of the file to less  than 200 KB. The photo "Koi fish" is just 21.1 KB.
  • Name your file correctly. The two photos above are named "in the dust_cyril furman_copyright" and "koi fish_cyril furman_copyright"
The photo ""Koi fish" is copied from the gallery of www.photojudges.com
Note the very large watermark and additional copyright informantion.
This is automatically added to the gallery photos on the website.

The whole idea is to make your photos worthless to any theives.

I have removed a number of photos from Flickr as they were too large and had no copyright or watermarks.

Be aware of how you post any photos on the net and the terms and conditions of the website.

Please let me know if this blog is useful to you.

Stay focussed,

Cyril Furman
